Spyware on my iPhone

I think someone put spyware on my iPhone 4S I've read in forums that if I reset my iPhone it will clear the spyware off my cell , I backed put my iPhone to icloud and want to restore it but I want to be sure I won't lose my information I'm not 100% sure how it works after I reset my phone can anyone help me with this? Or can anyone help me find out if my iPhone was spyware on it ? Thank you

The iOS operating system on devices uses a "sandbox" design in which each app runs in a sandbox, meaning it cannot access data belonging to other apps unless, in some situations, it has your permission to do so. Spyware usually peeks at data files "owned" by the operating system or other apps and does something with the data. This does not happen on Apple devices.
