Headaches and Dizziness with iPhone 5

After upgrading from the iPhone 4S to the iPhone 5 I noticed dizziness and headaches after using my phone. As I tried to pinpoint the issue I noticed my ears popping when talking on the phone.

After feeling like a lunitic for the first week, I think I have finally found the cause of the issue - the new iPhone 5 has Active Noise Cancelling, which causes those exact symptoms in a small number of people.

Is there anyway to turn off the Noise Cancelling? I'm generally in a loud area and the pressure felt on my ear caused by the noise cancelling is unpleasent - enough to the point where I'd rather go back to my iPhone 4S or stop talking on the phone all together.

If software won't do it, is there hardware I can rip out or disable that will stop the noise cancelling?

I have the same issue, in that if I use it for a few minutes, I get a headache. It is clearly the active noise cancellation. The samsung galaxy s2 had the same thing, but there was a feature to turn it off. When I asked at the apple store they told me they did not think there was one. I think the phone is much better overall than the 4s, but I must fix this issue. Hopefully Apple puts out a way to turn it off.

I called Apple support about this problem today. They hadn't heard of it before, but they agreed to exchange my phone so I can see if I just got a defective device. I'm not sure what I'm going to do if the new phone has the same problem. It's just not an acceptable phone if I can't use it without being in pain! I'll update this post once I try the new phone.

Any changes? I am having the same problem and have been experiencing headaches and nausea that last hours when I talk on my phone. I've had others use my phone and they don't have the same problem. I think my ears are just more sensitive. Love other features of the phone but may have to get rid of it if I can't fix this.

Seems like they not intending to do something?? I had contacted my local mobile carrier for support and hopefully they can highlight to Apple. By the way isn't this support forum by Apple haha, the administrator should highlight it to the boss regarding this issue :-p

Anyway, hope all of us will have updates on this issue soon :-)
