Could Not Sign In An unknown error has occurred

I'm getting the same problem, was fine with updates but can't purchase apps? I have the latest IOS & had no problems til today?

In settings I signed out of my iTunes account, then signed back in.

I know everyone is saying 'sign out' but I haven't even been able to sign in.

I just received my Iphone 5 today, and upgraded to IOS 6 immediately.

But I get the same error and never even had an Apple ID before, any useful tips?

I have the same problem and i think that app store has global problem now.

Me too. I've just open a new iPad and have the same problem. It makes me nervous!
