selection in iMovie - has anyone else had this issue and how do I resolve it?

I ran across this myself actually. It looks like there's a new privacy setting in Settings > Privacy > Photos for iMovie to give access to the camera roll for photos/videos and exporting from the app back to the camera roll. I got a message at one point about allowing access and I said no or whatever and had this issue but popping the Photos > iMovie thing to On fixed it.
Since uploaded iOS 6 my pictures and videos in my photos app are not available for selection in iMovie - has anyone else had this issue and how do I resolve it?
