Keyboard or motherboard or software issue?

I have the following weird situation with the keyboard on a unibody 13in MacBook Pro. The 1-9 and z-> keys are doing the following:

1=z1 (i.e. when I press the "1" key, I get "z1")

2=x2

3=c3

4=v4

5=b5

6=n6

7=m7

8=8,

9=9.

z=z1

x=x2

c=c3

v=v4

b=b5

n=n6

m=m7

,=8,

.=9.

All other keys operate correctly.

Also, in trying to figure out what is going on, I reset my PMU. Since then my fan always runs at top speed.

Any help with either problem would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5), 13 inch
