Transferring mail account to iPhone 5. Microsoft exchange.
iPhone 5, iOS 6
Hi,
I too get the same error after moving from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 5.
Any workaround is most welcome & if I find any, I will post here.
Mathew
Hi Guys,
I got exchange mail working. It seems issue is around "Push". I enabled "push", account verified & all worked well. After that I disabled push (I do not want it & to save mobile data use).
By googling, I found many have got it up & apple may fix it in it next iOS udpate.
Regards,
Mathew
I have "Push" enabled and it still won't work.
When you say "won't work" please expand on the specific error that occurs and when it occurs (setting up the account, or using it).
When I attempt to set it up, it says "cannot verify account information". If I proceed saving the account even though it isn't set up, it later says my password is incorrect.
The first message is the issue; if it can't verify the account then it isn't going to work later. The possibilities are that either the server name, user ID or password is incorrect, or the owner of the Exchange server does not want iPhones to connect to it.
Okay I got it fixed. Even though the domain is listed as optional, I actually had to fill that out for it to work.
I have the same issue, but i fill th domain as well and nothing, but the weird thing is the contacts sync but not the emails..
Any ideas anyone? i have restored the iphone 4 times thinking something happened during the transfer from an iphone 4 to an iphone 5...
