iPod touch 5 release date news

So many of you probably already know this if you have been following the iPods release date, you have probably noticed the iPod has gone from a pre order state to buy now, as with what happened on the iPhone 5 release. If you can share anything such as a video to help prove that it is truly out and people haven't, that would be amazing. When it says I ships in October, I think that meant the first day, considering it isn't pre order anymore and I think resellers get it at around the middle of October, since I saw a shopping site that said it was due to be in stores on october 15.

it has been so since last thursday

the problem is if it is not deleivered by the 24th it will be delayed till the 1st of novembers

because we have holidays and every single company are taking days from 25th off

Order in The netherlands. Black 64gb, Ordered october 2, Just now changed into "Shipping in preparation"......Wonder how long is is going to be, since the delivery is set to 24th to 26th of october. I assume it's going to be sooner than that date now???

Mine was in "Shipping in preparation" to with the same delivery dat (24-26th of October) until today I sudenly got an email that it was shipped and I'll recieve it 22nd of October. So I assume you'll get it earlier.

I did order from the US (I don't know if that makes a difference)

ps. I am originally from Belgium, but currently living in the US.

Mine was finally delivered today (too bad I wasn't home so have to pick it up from the post office tomorrow!) Just to let any fellow Australian's waiting know, I ordered on the 15th of September (14th in America), it went to Preparing for Shipment on the 15th of October, went to 'Shipped' on the 16th and actually delivered on the 17th!

Ok, after waiting all this time with no change, i decided to not wait for the 26th to receive a product that I preordered over a month ago. I went to the apple store and purchased the same model/color that I had pre-ordered. The good news is the discount that i got through the apple store i was able to receive in the store.

Other than the fact that i am very disappointed in how apple treated all of us who actually thought that apple would take care of the loyal customers who preordered, I am super happy with the product. Lesson learned...pre-order means nothing. The only real value it has is so that apple can guage the interest in their product before they actually launch.

For those who have already received your ipod, I hope you are enjoying!

Pre-ordered on September 23 Black and Slate 32 GB, it is STILL PROCESSING TODAY, all the apple stores around me are out of stock, I still have a delivery date between October 26-30
