iPod touch 5 release date news

So many of you probably already know this if you have been following the iPods release date, you have probably noticed the iPod has gone from a pre order state to buy now, as with what happened on the iPhone 5 release. If you can share anything such as a video to help prove that it is truly out and people haven't, that would be amazing. When it says I ships in October, I think that meant the first day, considering it isn't pre order anymore and I think resellers get it at around the middle of October, since I saw a shopping site that said it was due to be in stores on october 15.

I spoke to an Apple Rep about this information and his exact words were this..

"That's fraud information, because Apple has not yet confirmed when the iPods will ship out. So those sellers are just estimating. It could be sooner, or later."

Apple says October. At least that bounds when it will ship. Coming Soon is unbounded.

As do I, it really *****, because its like ordering something online and just waiting for it to arrive, but this is preordered and no even packaged yet :( ugh now I've depressed myself lol

On a possibly related note, when I try to view my orders now, it gives me a message: "We're Sorry. Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later."

Has anyone seen this before? It could be an actual error, or it could be (maybe I'm reading too much into this) it means my order is in the process of being updated. After all, I can go to any page under my account other than anything having to do with my orders (status, tracking, cancel, return, etc.).
