iPod touch 5 release date news

A European sight says apple iPod touch 5 g release October15 . My thinking would possibly be a release date of

October 7th in the states

The New Zealand Apple store says that it ships in 3 weeks without an exact date for it.

Yes. The Site I went to said the same thing as well. I would love to have it by the 7th. But it occurs to me. I have to wait for all the people who pre-ordered to get theirs first. Then I have to wait for a local Apple store to restock, and then FINALLY get one probably 2 weeks after they become available.

For those who did not pre-order, it's sounding like late October into early November may be when you can get your hands on them. But for those who pre-ordered, I'll reiterate my earlier point that iTunes 10.7 added support for the new nanos and touches. Why would they do that if the "New iTunes" that's coming out later this month would come out before the ipods? Then they could just wait to integrate the new ipod support into 10.8 (or 11, I'm not sure what they're calling it).

In short, some people are going to get their iPods before late October, and that's probably going to be the people who pre-oredered them (hopefully, as I'm in that category).

Probably once they've shipped out all the pre-orders. I'm guessing that would put them about the same time as stores would be getting them.

But I'm just speculating - as are we all.

Something else I noticed guys look under iPod accesories and the Lightning to USB Cable which comes with the ipod Touch says available to ship 1-2 weeks and the Lighning to 30 Pin Adapter just says Available to ship in October. Don't know if this is because they have to fill all the iPods first before they sell spare USB cables but 1-2 weeks makes me think.

Guys, just went on the apple web site, it said under the buy now section that it would ship in three weeks, today is the 5th of October, so the iPod Touch 5 should be due to be released on October 26. This may not be correct but if the iPod does ship in three weeks to the day, that is the 26th of October, can't wait!!!!!

Well the Lightning to USB is already out because it is already with all of the iPhone 5's. I don't see why the Lightning to 30 Pin Adapter isn't out yet because people with iPhone 5's might want to buy one right now.

Does that mean that the people who pre-ordered will get it before October 26th? Because it says that under the 'buy now' section, it doesn't make sense that someone who bought it would get it before someone who pre-ordered it. So I'm just putting 2 and 2 together here and that means that who all pre-ordered the iPod Touch 5 will definitly get it before the 26th.

Yes. Pre orders get the first available. Why allow pre orders if you don't get it early?

So my best guess would be before the 26th for sure.

Me to. I still say within the first 2 weeks of october for pre orders.

Thanks for the info BreadLoaf I was just going by the apple website and even though it came with the iPhone 5 and coming with new iPod. The Lighning to USB Cables all say for Pre-order on every website I have checked. So the the 1-2 weeks Either means after the new iPods have been released or maybe same time. Just my guess and my hope.
