Song Progress Bar Missing in Music App

I noticed recently that while playing a song in iOS 6, the progress bar, which shows where you are in the song and allows you to jump around to different parts, is missing. The update didn't delete any of my songs and as far as I can tell, everything else is unaffected. I'm wondering if there is an option to bring it back. I looked under Settings->Music but couldn't find anything pertaining to the progress bar. I've seen pictures of music playing on iOS 6 on the Internet with the progress bar still there so I'm assuming there's something strange going on with my phone...
