Itunes is not a valid WIN32 application?

I downloaded Itunes 10.1 and yet the error says Itunes is not a valid Win32 Application. i downloaded it again and same goes. I am using a Sony Vaio E Series. Windows 7 62bit. Can anyone help me in this situation?
