Move my iWeb site somewhere else

Since the end of mobileme, my website has stopped working. How can i make it work again?

Can you try and explain it in the simplest steps as possible please!

You will need to find another hosting service - there are many to choose from - and publish your iWeb site to that. If you have iWeb '09 or above you can do this directly from iWeb, using the FTP option in the Publish pane. If you have an earlier version you will have to publish to a local folder and upload the contents of the folder to the hosting service using an FTP program such as CyberDuck.

If you had a domain name for you site on MobileMe you need to contact your registrar to get it to point to the new location of your files.


If you don't have a domain name, most hosting services will provide a free registration.


Once you have published your site to the new server, make sure you redo the SEO...
