Acura TL Hands Free Link disconnects incoming calls.

I'm having a problem with my IPhone 5 and my Acura TL, where incoming calls via Bluetooth get dropped immediately after answer. Pairing the phone and outgoing calls are fine. I reported it to the Acura HFL customer support line and they were logging mulitple similar issues with the IPhone 5. Does anyone know of a fix or workaround?

I have an '06 TL and am having the same issue, BUT, the call doesn't disconnect -it just disconnects from the handsfree set but is still on my phone. If you have someone call you and stay on the line (for a test), go into your phone and click the 'audio feed' icon (I think that's what its called), and it will give you three options: handsfree, iphone, and speaker. You will notice it will be on the "iphone" option, and you can click the handsfree option and it will go back to your handsfree set. The problem is, why have a handsfree set if I have to go into my phone and manually change it? It must be a bug... I've looked all through the Settings to see if there is a way to make handsfree a default, but have found nothing...

Thanks! Same situation here. Of course, if I make a habit of looking down at the phone and going to the source menu I will probably end up under a truck, so, I sure hope they release a fix. Sometimes I can push the right sequence of buttons on the car's steering wheel (answer and disconnect) to make it work, but, using my landline last night I was completey unable to repeat it 😟

The iPhone 5 and iOS 6 use Bluetooth v4.0. Other vehicle owners are reporting some connection issues, and it seems to come back to the vehicle system. I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and it pairs just fine and works like it should. I have the iPhone 4S and it worked in iOS 5.1.1. and with iOS 6. Check again with Acura and see if their system supports the iPhone 5 and iOS 6. They have to make sure their system works with the newer Bluetooth protocols. Generally an update to the vehicle will fix the problem.

KHoss - I had the same problem as you -- The incoming call problem prompted me to delete all the accumulated phone profiles in my Acura HFL system and re-pair. I had a terrible time getting it to re-pair; however, after many attempts, if finally paired -- of course the answering calls problem was not fixed. I'm not sure if this helped my situation or not, but, it seemed to pair better when I held the phone (while in discoverable mode) close to the HFC module, which is near the top of the windshield above the microphone. Be persistent. It sure would be nice if Apple would at least let people know if they are working on this issue!
