Ive to use soild edge for university and i have a macbook pro I need windows to run thus software.
What software do I need to get inorder to run windows on my mac?
There's several virtual machine software programs that you can use such as Parallels and VMFusion. Arguably Parallels is the best, but if you want a free one, try VirtualBox from Oracle:
Running Windows virtualized on the Mac is the most convenient solution as it requires the least semi-permanent commitment of resources. However, if the Windows software you need to use requires maximum performance, or it accesses the hardware components directly OR it has any weird anticopying protection, you will have to resort to commiting part of the hard drive to BootCamp, as explained in the various links above.
