Oct 2, 2012 11:38 AM in response to akreisby Mark23,Nope, CardDAV and CalDAV use the same ports.
When I manually add both accounts they get automatically configured to 8443 as I use an SSL certificate.

Oct 3, 2012 8:26 AM in response to akreisby Mark23,You asked if there is a misprint in the document you first linked to. No there is not.
The Apple common ports document from your latest post in my opinion does indeed contain an error, but despite my effort in telling Apple just that they have not changed the document.
The connections for SSL both work at port 8443 (TCP). I did set my SRV records to use port 8443 although only Calendar server seems to use the record (with Contacts is still had to give in a server name).

Oct 3, 2012 11:21 AM in response to Mark23by akreis,I am wondering why my AEBS opens ports 8800 and 8843(SSL) by default for contacts. These ports correspond with the Apple Common TCP ports document and not the Advanced Administration Manual.
BTW I created these SRV records on my DynDNS account and everything works perfect.
