Q: Application stuck "installing..."

Hello,

I tried to update all apps in my iPad, and some of them were able to load and install, but 6 applications got stucked.

I've checked on every forum and tried reseting the iPad, downloading and installing them from iTunes, clearing all pending downloads, etc.

None of these solutions seams to work for me.

The apps are still stuck with the "Installing..." label.

All of them have an empty installation bar, except for one, that has the same label but no bar.

Is there anything else I can do about it?

I'll deeply appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance.

So I had the same issue of Stuck installs - To my stupidity after hours of trying to figure it out - I was low on Storage... Even though I had just enough space there was not enough space to install the app, I deleted a few apps and Data I dont use on the actual iPad and Voila... Success...

Hope this helps... Even though I was not thay smart... LOL

I had the same issue and found an easier way because I was too lazy to go through the stress of doing the restore.  I went to my updates tab located in the "App Store" icon.  Selected the app that is stuck installing.  It brings you to the app details, reviews, etc.  Then click on the app icon located at the top left of the screen.  When you do this it places the app onto your home screen.  Click on the app again that has been placed on the home screen and it should start installing

I had the same problem and found a simple solution..

Go tu app store and tap on "purchased" tab, and go to home screen, then tap on application that has blank progress bar, and voila... It's loading! But you have to tap every apps that need updating, but hey, it works...

Clear out your multitasking bar and then do a hard reset on your device.

I had the same problem on my iPhone and I went to my updates tab located in the "App Store" icon. Clicked Bought and in the list clicked the little cloud to download the upgrade again and only that worked fine for me.

I have tried wvery solution on this list, but nothing seems to be working.

When I go to the "purchased" tab on the App Store, there is no little cloud. There is only a grey-ish button that says "installing".

If I tap on the app and go to home screen, same thing, there is a "waiting..." label, but no progress bar.

Anything else that has worked on the past for you? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!!

I finally gave up... Restore to factory settings did the trick.

Try to touch the app that's stuck (it should be slightly greyed out with the progress bar at the bottom) as if you're launching it.  This should force it to resume the download.  I had 7 apps stuck for 2 days and this cleared them.

Easiest way to fix it - open iTunes, select apps, update problematic app, sync with device.  Problem solved

I had a similar problem this morning - several apps sticking at the 'installing' stage. After much head-banging, I found that picking and downloading a random app from the App Store seemed to do the trick. No idea why, of course...

    Merry Christmas, all!

Just had this same problem. No icon so I couldn't pause or delete the app but I have a fix that doesn't require you to restore or anything.

    Settings> general>usage>shiw all apps.

The stalled apps should show up in this list and you can delete them from there and redownload again.
