But why? Is it scratched on a stone that new OS is better than old?

Are all users as ideal as Apple itself so never allow a chance for a mistake to install new OS when they definitely do not need it at all? I want my iphone go back to ios5.1. I do not need ios6 until its problems are resolved/fixed. I need my youtube client, I need google's or comparable maps. This can be done by simply allowing me go back to ios5. PLEASE APPLE don't be rude.

Dmitri,

First, we're users here, not Apple. Making statements like "PLEASE APPLE don't be rude" is not going to Apple and just makes you look foolish.

Second, Apple does NOT support downgrading the iOS. Why? who knows, But they don't. Nothing you can do.

If you want to jailbreak your phone and downgrade, then fine. But look at all the postings here by people who have attempted to do so and permanently disabled their phones. Jailbreaking voids your warranty with Apple and eliminates your right to any further assistance.

Your choice. No one forced you to upgrade in the first place.

Hmm, I disagree. You tell me nobody from apple read the forum and whatsoever the user posted is not going to apple. Fine. It's not necessarily now, perhaps will happen later. If you and other customers read -- that's enough for now. That's enough to start thinking WHY.

I'm sure I'm not alone who disappointed by IOS6.

Regarding jailbreak -- did I say I'm going to apply it? If not, what's the purpose of your warnings?

And do not tell me I have nothing to do.

I'll post here and there and perhaps some 1000x people who also disappointed will change situation or make a switch. Choise is really ours.

Look -

The situation is the worst I ever encountered with software.

I purchased my iPhone not for it's hw such as CPU and RAM, but for ability to do some functions besides basic phone stuff. Youtube and GoogleMaps are good examples of such functionality. I liked iPhone for the functionality brought with each upgrades from v3 upto v5.

Since Apple FORCED me to upgrade to iOS6, I can't use this functionality and moreover:

-My phone works significantly slowed now

-My phone battery ends much sooner now

-I still can't restore contacts that I backed up some months ago

-Apple does not support downgrade

-I tried to contact Apple by sending feedback -- no response at all

-I tried to post on this forum - only users are respoding

-My other post on this forum was deleted without any clear explanation (so somebody read them, possibly bots)

I won't be surprised that this post will be deleted soon too.

If it didn't happen to me, I would never belive that this may happen at all.

I think this story deserves some publications elsewhere too 🙂

Hope I'll never see any new iOS based devices enywhere close to me anytime soon.

iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, two Apple AIRs and some other small gadgets are last devices I ever purchased from Apple.

I regret how these new people are ruling Apple now.

We don't really care what you think.

We've offered our assistance to help you troubleshoot iOS 6.

We've told you there's no supported way to downgrade the iOS.

We've told you Terms of Use prohibit us from helping you downgrade.

What more do you want?

You want to vent your frustrations, find a psychiatrist. This is not the appropriate venue.

gdgmacguy,

We? I see only your grimming answer which doesn't help at all. You'd better keep silence if you can't answer or understand what other users asked for. With your commands instead of assistance you remind me communist bosses from USSR.

Back to the theme:

> We've offered our assistance to help you troubleshoot iOS 6.

Really? If you commands is assistance -- you're wrong here. Nothing was offered to troubleshoot iOS6 at all. If downgrade is not possible, what's about the other questions? In particular -

1) after FORCED upgrade iphone's battery exhausted very quickly. Phone can't survive even 2 days without charger. This didn't happen before. I could leave it for 3-4 days.

2) UI works somewhat slower than before. What can be done to restore original performance?

3) iOS6 does not offer any replacement for youtube which was available as STANDARD application. How to install youtube under iOS6?

4) iOS6 does not offer any replacement for googlemaps. Perhaps tomtom is excellent for some countries or some regions in them, but definitely does not cover well where I live or where I go or drive.

What a rude guy!

thanks, It is my fault that I didn't find youtube. Now I found and installed it. Looks very different and not as comfortable as before.

Regarding maps, what "another map app" do you mean? I used to work with google maps and tomtom is not as good as google's. Do you know anything that's better or at least on par?

Thanks for the link about batteries. But it didn't help. I checked everything and have to say that I didn't find anything among the listed possible reasons, that would cause the problem. I use my phone as usual, I didn't change any settings, I even turned off sync with iCloud a few days ago, but the battery still gets 0% approx. 1.5-2 times faster than before the upgrade. What if not OS upgrade caused this?

What's about performance? For example I can hardly use AppStore. It is as fast as a tortoise. Lags are about 1-5 seconds for each scroll and sometimes (quite often) taps cause no reaction at all, it just doesn't follow finger -- doesn't scroll. BTW while I checked appstore and typed this reply, the battery got off from 96% to 87%. Oh dear it's 86% now.
