updates are installed but badge won't go away

I just installed the latest update for iPhoto (9.4.1) but the updates badge on the app store icon won't go away. I double and triple checked to be sure the update installed successfully, and it did. This badge thing is really driving me crazy—does anyone know how I can get it to display correctly and stop trying to tell me I have updates to install when I really don't? Thanks!

So just the other day, my MBP received an update for a different program, and when I opened the App Store, of course, the pesky iPhoto update was still there. So I just clicked on "Update All" and after both the new update and the lingering iPhoto update were successfully installed, the badge finally went away. I don't know why this install finally "counted" and got rid of the badge, and I wish I could say I figured out a way to proactively fix the issue, but unfortunately all I can say is hopefully the next time you get other updates, you can just install them all together as a block and it will just kind of clean itself up that way. Good luck!
