Why does my iTunes consistently eat 30-90% of my CPU since last update?

this has only started happening since the last update. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing seems to help. It is also happening on my business partners computer, but not my laptop.

Effected desktops: win 7 professional x64

Laptop: win 7 home premium x64
