When I open iChat I receive this message:
"Your camera is being used by another application."
Photobooth does not open correctly - the revolving wheel goes round and round - and the programme will not open.
Have taken this to the technician twice. He claims it is working. Says it is an issue with Skype on the old intel iMacs.
Have deleted Skype - the problem still exists.
The iMac is a 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Currently running 10.7.5
Any ideas?
Just read a post by WJ - he said check that there are not periphal devices such as a TV Tuner plugged in. Unplugged my AverMedia TV Tuner and problem now solved. Thank you WJ!
