app store search not working with IOS 6

Try this...

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Then restart the device, launch the App Store and try a search.

No data will be lost as a result of a reset.

If you haven't already tried... restart / reset

I have done both and restarted my device (iPhone 4S) several times and this problem persists (it started at some point yesterday 10/2). I can browse the app store in every other way other than search.

Searching for an app just gives me white screen :-(

Same here!!!!, very frustrating because how do you get a new App Store app? I got iOS 6 and no more YouTube, Netflix, and my App Store app will not search. I can only use genius, and purchased, nothing else will work . How are we supposed to buy apps, with the store not working?

Had the same problem which wouldn't resolve itself for a couple of days. I could see that it was neither network nor account related as things worked on my iPad (but not on the iPhone). I was able to resolve this by restoring the phone form iTunes (and then setting it up again from iCloud) - took a few hours to complete, not really a solution but rather a work-around but it worked for me…

I have the same problem. IOS6 on Iphone 5. All aspects of the app store work except search. It did work for the first few days and then stopped. All searchs result in a blank result panel.

Oddly I have not done anything and for whatever reason my app store now works. I can search and the whole thing functions. I did nothing along the ways of resetting. It looks totally different, and I did not get back my YOUTUBE, but am glad that I did not have to reformat and reload everything. I did try pushing the two buttons to turn it off and get the apple sign and wait to turn it back on. I did that several times but that never worked. I was ready to refomat when I got some extra time, but for now do not have to. It is working fine, and the new appstore is pretty cool. So, I dont know what happened. it did not work for about four days - but is now back functioning perfectly, and is fast as well.

Same here. I have an iPhone 4s. Since last week the seacrh doesn't work. Apple support replied my e-mail with 5 useless links.

Now I cannot access either the Featured or Charts tab, only Genuis. Behaves just like the search tab, tries to load and shows a blank page.
