Why does my computer say not charging when I plug my charger into it?

Was having same issue with 13 inch Mac book I blew on each connection end and walla it works. This is after I cleaned each connection with alcohol. Nothing like a stiff breeze to get you juice flowing

It won't charge until the battery is 94% or less.

If your charger had not been working for a month your Mac would be flat by now, your charger is working.

Sometimes, an adapter will have insufficient power to manage charging. If you're sure this isn't the case, it's possible that other power devices are reducing current to your device. If possible, remove all but the charger in your wall socket, or find a less-used socket.

If you're in a bind, you can even charge from your computer's USB connection - just make sure you don't turn it off. The power must be on for the charge to happen.

Does it recognize that you are plugged into an outlet, just not charging the battery? What level of charge is shown for the battery? I know that the newer MacBook Pros won't charge the battery if the existing charge is at or above 95%. This actually increases the life of the lithium battery.

Your battery might have died. I had a old MacBook and I had it for five years and had the same battery on it from when i purchased it. My battery eventually died and stopped charging. My computer worked when it was plugged in but th second the cord was pulled from the computer, my computer died. Hope this helps...

this link really worked on me. but i didnt took my battery out.

Try blowing on the port where the charger plugs in, and on the charger head. I tried it and it's working now. Maybe some dust just got in it?

Blowing on the port and charger head worked for me, also.
