I still struggle with that issue. Getting pretty hopeless...

Waiting for a major update or else...

    I'm having the same problem.

Wrote to Apple and visited an Apple Store but did not solve.

I'm thinking to ask for my money back because, simply, it doesn't work. I can't play a single song on my iPhone out of 4000!

Same thing is happening to me, I only just signed up, it worked for a day and now I have the skipping issue.

Match doesn't work on iphone 5 on ios6 and iphone 4 on ios 5.1.1, on my laptop i get error 5002 and i've tried everything I can think of.

    Thank you for your advice.

    I solved this problem, too.

I downloaded a free single of Zedd. ^^

I dowloaded a free single...  thought it was fixed but when I go to

    Settings

    iTunes & App Stores

and slide my "iTunes Match" to ON it doesn't stick and will slide back to OFF.

    Very frustrating.

Ok, I just did what Kermit suggested.  I purchased an album on my phone.  I deleted it.  Turned my phone off.  Turned my phone back on.  Turned on iMatch and it stuck.

Seems as though my music app needed to update through the IO6 update but ***** that I had to spend a few bucks to push it through.

Does anybody know the exact date of the new iTunes release?

I hope it brings relief to all our complaints.

I still got no luck with using what I paid for.

Take care & come with good news...

Turn off iTunes Match, Delete All Music, Kill the Music.app, and turn iTunes Match Back On.

    1.  Turn Off iTunes Match:  Settings -> Music -> Turn off Match

    2.  Delete all Music:  Settings -> Usage -> (wait for list to populate) -> Tap Music -> Tap Edit -> Delete Music

    3.  Kill Music.app -> Double Tap Home.  Press and Hold Music Icon.  Tap Delete badge

    4.  Wait about 15 seconds

    5.  Turn iTunes Match back on.

I was having the same issue with my 4S on iOS 6 and this fix has just worked for me.

    Thank you!

Strange thing is, songs were streaming just fine on my iPad 2 which is on iOS 6.

All we need now is for iTunes Match to be returned to the way it was on iOS 5 and all will be right with the world.

    Hi there!

Yestarday, all of a sudden everything got back to normal! Once again I did what the user CMiYC advised us all to do and (although I had tried that and many others before) the music started playing (streaming and downloading) on all my devises including my AppleTV. I am now sure that this was the provider's fault. Shouldn't anyone say SORRY?

Cheers and good luck with it...

Before doing this you may want to back up your phone to your computer...

I didn't because I like to live dangerously.

The Problem:  iPhone would normally pull the song from iTunes Match but it doesn't because it "thinks" it already has that song stored locally on the phone when in fact it doesn't so it just skips the song and moves on to the next track.

    The Fix:

Step 1: Under settings go to the music app and turn off iTunes Match

Step 2: Double tap home button scroll through the "recent apps" at the bottom of the screen and if the music app is there reset it by holding it until there is a red symbol next to it. (Usually a good idea to do this regularly with all apps anyway)

Step 3: Back to settings click general>usage>storage>music>edit then delete all locally stored music (don't need to delete audiobooks or anything other than music)

Step 4: Turn iTunes Match back on and rock the F$@! out!

I've also been dealing with this issue for a while now. I use to be able to play a few after the update and then it slowly progressed to where I can no longer listen to any of my music on my iPhone. This is an inconvenience that is very frustrating. I've tried to purchase something for the terms and conditions as well as turn iTunes Match off and back on. I've even gone to the extreme of wiping my phone and not restoring it but making it a new phone. I feel apple should do something or refund us for the time we weren't able to use this service, because we are after all not getting the services in which we've paid.

Since last Saturday, everything is back to normal, without doing absolutely anything!

I tried everything I could, without success, and then....

    Surely, it was Apple's fault.

Pity they did not mentioned this problem, did not reply to any message on this site, did not say sorry...

I am not sure I will renew...

  • powellwrj Level 1 Level 1

No marcam1 you can't say that it's officially resolved when there are others still having to deal with this issue. You may have had yours working since Saturday while mine as of two minutes ago will still not play a single song in my entire library of 119,000 songs. I've paid for my service apple so it would be nice to get to use it.

  • marcam1 Level 1 Level 1

Sorry. I meant it is back to work for me!

I contacted the phone apple support, made some trials together without success and then it started to work.

I do not know what they did or what they did not!

I was not told about it.

This is why I guess it is a problem on Apple's servers.

It is a shame Apple is not informing customers.
