Can using 1 I cloud account with 1 apple ID connected to 3 different I phones create issues.?

All 3 phones are not 1 persons, they have different networks and numbers. The reason I ask is I recently upgraded my i phone and also downloaded the ios6 and it seemed my phone had a funny turn. I would text a contact and she replied but it didnt show on my phone, it showed on my sons who is a completely different number to me and network?
Its now changed and she can reply to me but it also still shows on my sons phone. The only link I can think of is icloud.
Also a genius told me that I should have my own apple id etc and not use my husbands?

If each phone has a different user then each phone should have a different icloud account for that user.
Ok thanks but do I need an apple id account to create a new i cloud account?
sorry and if I delete the icloud account on my iphone will that delete off both of the other phones?

No, and you need 2 accounts plus the one you currently have.

No, delete from each phone as needed.
Thanks I deleted the old one then added my new apple id as a new i cloud account and now it just seems stuck with the wheel going round and a note saying it may take a few moments to update account, that was half hour ago!
Not sure if I have to do anything to speed it up?
Wait a little longer, if not finished restart the phone and try again.
Also, start a new post in the iCloud on my IOS device forum, this is not a Mac issue, more iPhone experts over there.

I have an iMac which my wife and I share and my wife and I both have iPhone and iPad. How does iCloud work in that situation?
You will need to create 2 user accounts on the iMac, one for you and one for her. Attach her phone to her iCloud account in her user account, do the same for yours. If you only have 1 iCloud account get another.
Thanks Csound1, we have a number of documents, favourites, etc that we share, how would that then work? I guess the main thing that we would keep separate are texts, etc
