MacBookAir/Deskjet

I have a MacBookAir 13". Is it a Mac OS X v10.7 Lion? Or 10.5 or 10.6? I have just bought an HP printer and it seems to be critical for downloading the software CD! Help please I'm a beginner!! Thought this was supposed to be easy to use!
