I missed updating my iPad to 5.0 it's 1st generation. I already know I can't use 6.
Can I still do that? How? I just use it to show Netflix cartoons to my daughter, but Netflix will only work with iOS 5, which now seems unavailable. Help....

You can update your iPad 1 to iOS 5.1.1 at any time.
Plug it into your computer you sync with.
In iTunes click on the iPad icon in the left panel.
On the information screen press check for update.
Connect it to iTunes on a computer and check for updates.

iPad updates prior to iOS 5 require that you connect the iPad to your computer, and launch iTunes. The update will not appear unless you do.
iTunes should tell you an update is available.
Sync the iPad with iTunes (very important) then install iOS 5.
I wouldnt do it unless they fix all the bugs. I regret updating mine everyday! It constantly crashes & is super slow now. Using Netflicks isnt worth if it just crashes constantly.
I think whatever bugs existed in iOS 5 were addressed a long time ago Jeweliav.
They certainly didnt get resolved for me or my Parents. That is why I am on this forum looking for a solution.
In that case I suggest you post a new question Jeweliav.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update.
