Does anyone know how to use the Apple virtual keyboard to get the Micron symbol?
Is there a better way than installing the Greek keyboard?
Can we swap out a symbol we don't use and replace it with something like the micron?

No, you can't modify the keyboard like that. But you can use the keyboard shortcuts feature to do what you want.

I have setup some keyboard shortcuts through the settings/keyboard menu and they work really well, but for some reason I can't get the micron symbol to work.
Is there something special you've done when setting it up?

Tom,
I took another look at how I had put the micron symbol and its shortcut into the list and, discovered I had reversed them and put my shortcut into the symbol field and symbol into the shortcut field. I reversed them and it worked.
Thank you Tom for pointing out that it does work which motivated me to take another look at the keyboard shortcuts!
