Oct 31, 2012 8:42 AM in response to jcentersby futureTom,Thanks for your help on this problem. I too have iOS6 (on iPhone4S) data leakage, and following your advice, deleted my iCloud account. Data now back to normal. Fingers crossed for quick resolution from Apple.

Nov 1, 2012 12:21 PM in response to STR33TPIR8by Stan in London, check out different locations and going in and out of wifi networks. Today doing nothing I used 12 MG of data; likely due to a quick trip to the local high street, otherwise the phone was in one location beside the wifi router. 3G was turned off, accessed one or two email that was it.One email had big attachments but I did not click to download or view them.
Deleting iCloud is not something I will consider. Without iCloud to syn calendars and contacts - pointless to have a smart phone for me. So Google or Exchange - and then why would I want an Apple device. But if we can pin point the problem to iCloud that is at leas a diagnosis.
Interesting in 3 minutes, my data manager traces 132KB wifi data adn nothing on mobile. I am not doing anything on the phone so it seems to want to use a couple of MG per hour communicating with something - but I cannot trace it.

Nov 1, 2012 12:28 PM in response to jcentersby Lessandro,My wife is still having the problem. How is it that we have wifi at the house and we go to bed at 10pm having used 1500 mb of data. Then when we wake up there was 100mb of data used over night. How and why? We are on wifi, and not even using the phone. Dafuq. In cellular data I had the sync iCloud Docs over cellular on on. I switched it off but I still see useage.

Nov 1, 2012 1:26 PM in response to Stan in Londonby futureTom,I upgraded to 6.0.1, but it hasn't solved the 3g data problem. Goodbye to iCloud again, then.

Nov 1, 2012 1:48 PM in response to Stan in Londonby futureTom,Definately, but I'd rather do without it than end up in penury over data charges.

Nov 1, 2012 2:33 PM in response to futureTomby STR33TPIR8,It really seems to be fixed in my case. I'm on 3G from about 3 hours and it hasn't used 1 mb.

Nov 2, 2012 12:22 PM in response to STR33TPIR8by Stan in London,Regrets that updated software made no difference. I used 1 MG driving to work, 1 MG driving back and another MG during the day - answered tow or three emails on the phone - not good. So I have swtiched off cellular data and that should stop the leak but this is not a long term desirable state.

Nov 2, 2012 12:47 PM in response to Stan in Londonby electronicsguy, why? what do you get with icloud that you cannot get otherwise? contacts, mail, calendar - use standard imap or exchange with gmail/hotmail/yahoo.
apps, music - sync with PC. why is icloud essential? in any ways, its just 5gb of free space. you can store as much back as you want on pc.
