SunRocket Gizmo and AE

I recently signed up with SunRocket phone service. I have DSL with SBC, Sun Rocket Gizmo and AE hooked up.

All my computers recognize my AE, but I no longer have an Internet connection since I connected the Sun Rocket Gizmo.

My Airport Express is my only router from my DSL modem.

Sun Rocket was helpful in getting me set up for their device. They then said something about opening port 8089 to their device and said I needed to contact my provider.

Can anyone help?

I'm having a similar problem. I recently signed up for SunRocket too. I have Comcast cable with a Motorola SurfBoard modem.

Before I connected the SunRocket gizmo iChat AV was working fine.

Now if I am invited to chat or if I initiate a chat a message comes back saying that a connection could not be made because I did not respond.

If I remove the gizmo and restart the modem, iChat AV works fine again. It is just a big hassle.

Any thoughts welcome.

I also have had Sunrocket for a couple weeks now. I have tried it set up both ways:

Cable Modem (Comcast)>Gizmo>AirPort

Cable Modem>Airport>Gizmo

Neither seems to make a difference in sound quality but everything works (iChat and such) when it is set up the latter.... with the yellow cord going from the Gizmo to the AirPort's 2nd Ethernet cord.

The call quality does not change (that is, it is crappy 50% of the time) no matter how I set it up, however, getting into the Gizmo's firmware doesn't work the way I have it hacked.

I'd love for someone to tell me how to figure that out.

Just my experience.
