I can't hear any notifications

Ever since I updated to iOS 6, I can't hear any notifications besides texts and calls. For example, whenever I get a notification for Facebook, it only shows up on the screen. Same goes for other apps like Instagram, Twitter. Not even a vibrate. I checked my settings and all are set to sound. My silencer is off, ringer is up all the way, 'do not disturb' and airplane mode are off, each app's notification settings have the sound on, and vibrate is on for ring and silent. Music and videos work fine. Anyone else have this problem and/or know a solution to this problem?

try backing up and restoring usally this is a software issue.

I finally got around to doing a full factory restore and back up. I'm still having problems hearing my app alerts.

Can anyone help me please? I havn't gotten sound for any of my push notifications except for text and e-mails. All my settings in my notification center all have the sound toggled on. iOS 6 has been out for too long for no one to have a solution.
