There is nothing wrong with your phone or the software update. Everything is functioning exactly the way Apple has programmed it. This particular problem is #1 on a list of several dozen things that have stopped working, either permanently or intermittently, since I updated to OS6. You'll find that Apple does this when they have new hardware available. They expect their loyal fan base to accept that the new software updates are "designed to optimize the function of the newest hardware," and therefore will make your 1-year-old (ancient, pre-historic) phone function poorly. It's part of the price you pay for being cool enough to own an Apple product. I am no longer cool enough... I'm getting a far superior HTC One that runs on the far superior Android platform for half the price in April.
