In General>Keyboard>Shortcuts, These are not working, Ever since I updated to IO6. For example I have "Hru' for 'How are you?' and every time i type in hru it just stays at hru, ive tried deleting them and creating them again but still nothing. Turned off my phone and on again and done a reset. Any suggestions?

Well I came here looking for answers as well. Suddenly text shortcuts stopped working a coue of weeks after I updated. After reading your post I decided to reboot and viola...they're working again! Thanks!
First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
This method fixes many types of problems where the operating system or an app gets confused. Glad you found it.
Thought I was on a Microsoft Forum for a minute there. All this reboot to fix the problem. It does seem to fix the problem for a while, but there are days I would have to reboot multiple times to keep this working. There should be an actual fix put out for this. But thank you everyone for the reboot suggestion, it does work for a while.
Worked for me, when I rebootet AND updated one of the shortcuts...
I have updated my shortcuts, and rebooted my phone multiple times. All of the software updates have been done as well. These steps only seem to fix the problem temporarily. :(
There is nothing wrong with your phone or the software update. Everything is functioning exactly the way Apple has programmed it. This particular problem is #1 on a list of several dozen things that have stopped working, either permanently or intermittently, since I updated to OS6. You'll find that Apple does this when they have new hardware available. They expect their loyal fan base to accept that the new software updates are "designed to optimize the function of the newest hardware," and therefore will make your 1-year-old (ancient, pre-historic) phone function poorly. It's part of the price you pay for being cool enough to own an Apple product. I am no longer cool enough... I'm getting a far superior HTC One that runs on the far superior Android platform for half the price in April.
Thanks for the advice - I had forgotten about the difference btw reset and just turning on/off. This fixed the text shortcut problem for me!
I logged in having the same problem and rebooted (I thought) several times. I did not know about actual rebooting the way you described. I was just shutting my phone off and back on. Thank you very much Ralph9430. It is working now.
