IOS6 - custom apn .local addess

Weare using some secure mobile fra TDC (denmark) and wherefore a custom APN.

The APN gives the ipads a local private adress (192.168.1.x/24) and the ipad uses the local DNS servers....

After updating to IOS it seems that access to .local adress is blocked some where....

* If the ipad is connected to wifi it can use http://server.domain.local

* If the ipad is connected to costum APN it CANNOT us http://server.domain.local (server not found) - if we use another app to make the DNS query - safari can find the server

* if we change the server name to http://server.domain.dk -> everything works fine.....

ALL dns names points at local / private Ip adress

Is it a BUG, feature or failure by design??

iPad, iOS 6
