Account Not In This Store (iOS6)

Ever since I updated to iOS6, whenever I updated or downloaded a new app from the App Store, a message appears saying:


"Account Not In This Store

Your account is not valid for use in the Canadian (sometimes it says Indian, Australian, Chinese, French (everything changes to French in the app), Kuwaiti, and more) store. You must switch to the U.S. store before purchasing."


I made some research online and asked a few of my friends with the same problem. All they did was sign out of iTunes from settings>iTunes & App Stores or from the App Store itself and signed back in. It worked for many of them but not with my iPhone 4 nor with my iPad 2. It really does get on my nerves to always sign out and back in to the App Store as it sometimes works and allows me to update and download or most of the time it doesnt.


When viewing my Apple ID account on my iPhone (after entering the password) it either views my account or says:


"This Apple ID is only valid for purchases in the U.S. iTunes Store. You will be switched to that Store. Try your purchase again."

So I press on OK then either switches me to the App Store app of its choice, or says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".


I tried restoring iOS6 hoping it was a bad installation, but i still have the same problem.


Can anyone help me and point me to the right direction please?

Hello

I have the same problem now. When I try to update the apps on my iPad, it tells me that my account is not valid for use in the Belgian store and I have to switch to the Polish store. But, I don't want to switch to the Polish store. I'm Belgian, I live in Belgium, the credit card linked to the account is a Belgian credit card (well, Visa itself it not Belgian, but you get my point) ... So, why would I want to change to the Polish store?

Last time I downloaded an app and updated the apps, I was in Poland. Would that have triggered the problem? One can buy apps and update while beeing abroad, no?

On my iPhone (which uses the same Apple account), I don't get this error message. Luckily.

Any ideas?

Thanks T!!!! It worked for me as well, and I've been struggling with this for a few days now. I'm in the US, and somehow got bumped over to the Canadian store on my phone and couldn't negotiate my way back. I also could not update or purchase anything because I am still physically in the US.. I feel like you gave me the secret code of how to get home--no ruby slippers required! Thanks!

IIV been struggling with this for months *** it got worse with ios6.1 I'm getting tired cant buy apps or update what is the reasone or what is going on in apple FU minds to do this..What good could possibly come out of this crapy system


just purchased galaxy3 I like it a lot my iPhone 5 and ipad 2 are for sale CHEAP......
