I bought a book on Itunes, but CANNOT open and read it. Really??

As it says on each book's page in the iTunes Store, you need an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to view iBooks. Is that what you're using, or are you trying to view the book on your computer? If the latter, then you can't.
