What is Bless Tool on Mac OS

I want to have the concept of this tool, after the error "Bless tool was unable to set current disk"...

As our Forum expert baltwo replied to another User that had your same question about the "Bless tool..." error message:

"Most likely need to erase and reformat the HD, ensuring that Mac OS X extended and GUID partitioning scheme selected."
