Just now upgraded my PowerMac G5 to OS 10.5.8 and now the computer will not see my Gen 1 Apple TV - Advice?

I am of the belief "If ain't broke. don't fix it" so I have JUST NOW updated my recently crashed Power Mac G5 to OS 10.5.8. However now my computer no longer sees my First Gen Apple TV.

I am affraid to attempt to upgrade the Apple TV after all the problems I am currecntly having with iOS6 on my iPad and iTouch.

I went to the Apple store and they said I had to also upgrade my iTunes and Quicktime to a certain level to work with the 10.5.8 and I did this but the problem remains.

I am willing to downgrade the computer back to 10.4.1 if necessary because back then EVERYTHING WORKED without problem!

Advice Please????

Make sure that your Apple TV is on the last version of OS provided for it. If it's not, allow it to upgrade. That update has been well proven and should cause you no problems. Here are some additional troubleshooting steps that might help:

If not, try asking for additional suggestions in the Apple TV forum:
