Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

It is unfortunate that Apple is falling behind without Steve Jobs. My Ipad is now useless without WiFi. Does anyone have an idea on how to get around this WiFi nightmare?

When will Apple get this iOS 6.0 WiFi mess fix? My iPad is absolete to me without WiFi.

Still you haven't posted any details on your WiFi router or exactly what problems you are having.

You have to realize that only a very small number of users are having problems and those who aren't have no idea what you are talking about.

Also this is a user to user forum and no one here could answer your question. You are complaining to other users here not Apple. If you want Apple to hear use http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

With all those letters and degrees you apparently didn't learn how to dial your phone and call AppleCare and you somehow forgot that WiFi issues, especially ones that are not global (my iDevices on 6 are connecting at multiple locations with no issue) are the hardest to diagnose and fix.

So be part of the solution and call AppleCare with all the details or use the feedback link and provide all the relevant details.

Additional things to try.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
