Pages has features as InDesign?

I recently upgraded to Mac. Previously I had documents in InDesign from Adobe. I have a book that has two languages. I have English on one page and on the facing page I have another language. The two have to match up in line. Is there a way to do this in Pages? Also, can Pages read an InDesign file? Thanks!

You can crossgrade from the PC version of Indesign to the Mac.

You will find that Pages has some quite interesting features for its price but many of those will need much more work than Indesign.

As with many things the dual language book is do-able in Pages but frankly is easier in Indesign if you already know it.

Having said, that despite my having both, I reach for Pages more often than I do for Indesign, just not for serious work. It is much smaller and faster to load with way less of Adobe's cumbersome and over the top UI.
