Transferring data manually from old machine to new. Alls working great except for keychain migration. Can't find keychain.login file in /library/keychain on either machine. All aspects of keychain worked great on previous machine, but secure notes did not transfer to new machine on account of the missing file. Any ideas?

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library" (it is hidden by default)
Thanks for your reply macjack. I have my HD in the finder sidebar, and have no dificulty navigating the user library, though i guess i notated it wrong above. Are you saying that there is a difference between the user library and the mac HD library?
Yes, you have 3 Libraries...
Mac HD/Library
Mac HD/System/Library
Mac HD/Users/yourname/Library (which is hidden)
You need to use the Finder Go menu as I explained to get to Mac HD/Users/yourname/Library or a Terminal command to unhide it.

I'd take the whole Keychains folder.
those were the only files in the folder. seems to have done the trick as far as i can tell. thanks again.
