Safari jams my internet!

Guys please bear with me as i try to explain.

Say i browse for an hour using Safari, after a while pages refuse to load! The loading bar goes up to 10% and just stops. I have to either reset my modem or wait for 10-15 min for it to start working again.

However even if i use Chrome for hours, i don't encounter this issue.

Another point, while Safari jams my internet, none of my other devices are able to access the internet 😟

Anyone else facing this issue?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.

And try resetting Safari. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari

Select: Clear History (also empties the cache)

Deselect the remaining boxes then click Reset.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that doesn't help, back to the menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.

If there are any installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that doensn't help, back to the Preferences pane, select the Security tab.

Deselect: Enable plug ins

Quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that made a difference, follow the instructions for troubleshooting Safari add ons here.
