I can't get my icloud mail. The incoming server info box is grey and I can't fix it.

I can't get my mail from my mac.com address on my computer. It says it can't connect to icloud. I can log into icloud it get it but I want it in my main mailbox. The incoming server box is greyed and says mail.example.com, and it won't let me change it. I've already deleted the account and re entered it, but the same thing happens.

I am having the same problem.

I try to set the server as indicated on

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5330

I can go and change the server as indicated

but when I try to save

I get

Invalid Incoming Mail Server

The “Incoming Mail Server” field cannot be empty.

The incoming mail server is there, but it is grey and I can't change it.

So, is there any way to change the outgoing server so I don't have to select one every time I send an email?

thanks
