My macbook wont update itunes to the standard it needs to be for my already updated iphone which has IOS6. What can I do as my phone has no service!

You have the latest update of version of 10.5. The next Mac OS version is 10.6.

Hi, I updated my Iphone to IOS6 and now I cant plug it into my itunes on my macbook as it is not up to date enough for my phone. I have updated it as much as it will do and it wont update to the relevant itunes. What shall i do? Thank you
