Can't connect to iTunes store, can't find library.

I rebuilt my 2004 iMac G5 (running OS 10.4.11). I saved off my data before I rebuilt. I have copied it back, but I can't get iTunes to recognize it. No great loss; it's just a few podcasts. But I also cannot get connected to the iTunes store. I can get to the Internet. I turned off the Block Popup Windows option in Safari. I don't know what else to try. My iTunes version is 4.7.1. I have rebuilt my computer several times over the years and don't remember having this trouble before. Thanks for any help you can give. Kathryn Z.
