LaCie monitors going to sleep on G5 & G4, overriding System Preferences

I have a G5/1.6 with an old Radius Precisionview 2150 21" monitor which works perfectly all the time (OS X 10.4.6), but have problems with a G5/1.8 and a G4/450 with, repectively, a new LaCie PhotoVision 19" and a LaCie ElectronBlue 19".

All three systems are set up never to go to sleep, use no screen saver or any other forms of energy control, meaning that all the monitors SHOULD stay on all the time. This works perfectly on the G5/1.6, but on the G5/1.8 & the G4/450 the monitors go to sleep after about 15-20 minutes despite every sort of tinkering and tweaking that I can think of. They come back on again without any problems, but I am frustrated that I can't seem to get to the bottom of the problem.

Does anyone have any experience of this or any pertinent suggestions?
