Hi I've just sold my iPhone 4 to a guy. How long does it take for it to be unlocked?

Hi I've just sold my phone and the guy wants it unlocked its on O2 network I've put my unlocking request in with O2 they say they pass it on to apple. Does anyone know how long this takes to process? Thanks

According to O2, "up to 10 days" from when request was made.

normaly a day or two, sometimes sooner. when my son unlocked his with o2 it was less than 24 hours.
