Q: App update is frozen.

I have got the same problem with my Facebook icon on iPad. I think something went wrong when I tried to do an update the last time. The icon (as described above) has been faded out for some days and is showing the word "waiting". I have tired everything I can think of (trying to delete the icon (will not work as, while the icon 'shakes', no "x" appears to left for it to be deleted). Any help welcome.

Try update apps on iTune (computer) and sync to iPad.

Thanks. Tried that but no success I am afraid. Icon still frozen/showing "waiting".

Try deleting the app from settings> general> usage.
