Q: after update apple tv locked

apple tv locked and tv screen only show iTunes symbol with USB cable. how do i fix this?

AppleTV 2, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

    it's trying to tell you to connect the appletv to your computer using an USB cable so it can restore the software

    on the appletv to fix some crash

     

    iphones and ipads have the same screen if they require a restore seems it's its not very user frinedly judging how many people don't relate it to connecting it to the computer using usb
