How do we delete application download history

As we download a lot of free apps or even paid ones, when we look at our account its full of these applications and you find it difficult to navigate through the purchases you have made and would like to transfer to your ipad or new iphone.

Hence the question about how can we delete the application purchase / download history from our account ?
