How do I sync my Iphone if there is no SIM card? It was working before, but my laptop died. Got a new computer, reset the ipone to factory settings. I have created playlists on the new computer's Itunes, but I cannot sync. Both Iphone and computer get stuck at "no SIM card". How do I get past that?

If you re-set the phone to factory settings, you need to re-activate it.you can NOT do so without a SIM. If the phone is carrier locked, it must be from the carrier it is locked to.
The SIM does not have to be active, but it must be present.
Once it's activated, you can remove the SIM and it will work just fine... unless you update, restore, or wipe the phone, putting it into a state where it has to be re-activated, which requires a SIM.
Ok... then why did it work before? I've never used this iPhone as a phone; only QB ipod.
