Office for Mac Software update will not install.

Got prompted that I had a Microsoft Update that needed to be installed for Outlook. But it won't finish the install:

Says it has to close Sync Services agent and Microsoft Daemon before it will install the update?? HELP! Thank you!

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office in any way. I suggest you post Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products.
